CICLOPE Latino: A Photo Recap

We were thrilled to welcome Ciclope to Mexico City this week, celebrating the best in craft around the world.

The nomadic festival launched its first Ciclope Latino on July 25th to honor the high quality work coming out of the Latin American market. Over forty winners were selected, including notable work from Stink, DIREKTOR FILMS, Landia, Fat Bastards, and more.

The festivities started on Saturday evening when we hosted a dinner for attendees and speakers. Guests got to enjoy a Mexican take on omakase. A chef from one of the city’s finest restaurants, Campobaja, sliced and diced a massive fresh fish, while everyone enjoyed great conversation and local music.

Two days later we convened to talk about craft in advertising with wonderful presentations from Andrés Ordóñez (CCO, Energy BBDO), Hernán Cortés (Client Partner, Facebook), Julia Sourikoff (Head of VR, Tool of NA) and Oliver Fuselier (MD Live Action, Tool of NA), Guillermo Rivero (Head of Growth & Marketing, Vice Mexico), and Andrés Baiz (Director & Executive Producer of Netflix’s “Narcos”).

Afterwards, many guests stuck around the city for another day to delight in tostadas and tequila at Contramar, a trip to the luchas, and various other adventures that only Mexico City has to offer. We’ll see you in Berlin this November, Ciclope!
