Audi “Warm Up” represents our first large-scale production. It was the flagship project with which The Lift was born in Mexico, forging our work philosophy of outstanding service and quality above all else.
This six day shoot was challenging as we had to recreate motor races in different time periods: the 30’s, 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Filming in two different racetracks, Mexico City’s Autodrome and a private racetrack located at the city’s vicinity, the different atmospheres were achieved with a top Art Direction and Wardrobe Styling. Sets included several imported vintage cars and loads of clothing, wigs, false facial hair and accessories to give the spot an historical feel.
This spot was immaculately directed by Lynn Fox under the wing of Tony Petersen Film, joining forces with British cinematographer Ian Foster, who worked on films like “The Social Network” and James Bond’s “Tomorrow Never Dies”. Hamburg agency Kempertrautmann was in charge of the creativity. A huge thank you to all of them, this was a great experience!
