ALL, THE MEXICO WE LOVE, THE WORK WE LOVE

The Most Memorable On-Set Experiences, Part 2

In celebration of our anniversary on October 15th, we’re revisiting some of our favorite moments of the last 11 years. You can check out our first installment here.

Today we asked our Head of Sales and one of our most trusted Producers to select the shoot that they thought was the most memorable, and to tell us a bit about it. To our surprise, they chose different campaigns for the same brand, Mexico Tourism, highlighting the beauty that exists across Mexico’s many states.

Let’s talk about our work for CPTM.

Rodrigo Mendoza, Head of Sales
Pick: CPTM with Radical Media’s Dave Meyers

What made this campaign the most memorable?

While we shot the commercial, we did the still photo campaign with the Danish Photographer Nikolaj Moller.

Where did you shoot?

Chiapas and Oaxaca

Looking back on it, would you have done it all the same or done anything differently?

Same things I think.

I think we did it pretty well.

Did you learn anything from the experience?

Don’t shoot and drink mezcal.

Magali Sagarra, Producer
Pick: CPTM Mi Mexico with Believe Media’s Jeffrey Darling

What made this campaign the most memorable?

We traveled all around this beautiful country from tip to tip, working for an amazing Australian director and crew that showed us how to find beauty everywhere and shoot it in a very simple way.

Logistically it was a very complicated job. We had a very short time to get all the places we needed. Traveling mostly by land or little planes, we saw unimaginable landscapes.

I’d also like to highlight that we had the opportunity to help the poorest communities from Sierra Tarahumara. We donated hundreds of blankets and jackets to the kids of the area that are usually exposed to the coldest temperatures in Mexico; we were also able to collaborate with a nutritional and educational program for these kids. It was awesome to see all that happiness and gratefulness expressed in smiles.

Where did you shoot?

Mexico City, Tulum, Campeche, Palenque, Chihuahua and we ended at Los Cabos.

Looking back on it, would you have done it all the same or done anything differently?

I think we did it pretty well.

Did you learn anything from the experience?

Teamwork, communication, and flexibility are the key for this kind of challenges.
