ALL, THE MEXICO WE LOVE

Location Guide: Nido de Quetzalcóatl

Beyond the known hustle and bustle of Mexico City are numerous gardens and sights that offer a creative reprieve. One of our favorites is Nido de Quetzalcóatl, also known as Nest of Quetzalcóatl.

Named after the Aztec god, Quetzalcóatl, Nido de Quetzalcóatl is a secret garden located in northwestern Mexico City. Designed by Mexican architect Javier Senosiain, it’s is an awe-inspiring spot that awakens every single sense and proves to be one of the most magnificent architectural masterpieces we’ve ever seen.

Composed of numerous structures, the various buildings throughout the garden create a giant serpent, weaving in and out of the landscape in a fantastical manner. Amidst the beautiful greenery and natural life, the entire park twists through corridors, labyrinths, tunnels, and bridges that are full of color and wonder.

It’s a garden fit for an Aztec god—and one you absolutely cannot miss the next time you’re in our parts.
