ALL, THE MEXICO WE LOVE, THE WORK WE LOVE

Cream of the Crop: Top British Directors

This month we are highlighting some of the best and brightest from the UK.

So it serves to reason that we would want to talk about the directors that bring an insane amount of talent with them on every job they do. And here’s our quick rundown (in no particular order):

US. Directing duo US we had the fortune of working with on an AirBnb spot released last year (see above). The directing duo (Christopher Barrett and Luke Taylor) are the brilliant minds behind the “Numbers in Action” video for Wiley that won the Best New Directors honor at the UKMVAs several years back, and other memorable music videos for Foals, Benga and DELS. That doesn’t even mention their branded work for the likes of Cadbury, Honda, The Sunday Times and Net-A-Porter. Check out their full reel here.

Sara Dunlop. We’ve been singing her praises ever since she traveled to Mexico to shoot one of our most memorable spots from last year, “Beautiful Morning.” Her branded work spans HTC, Levi’s (of course), McDonald’s, HSBC, and beyond, and we couldn’t get enough of her TFL “The Hare and the Tortoise” short that won a Gold at the British Arrows. View her full reel here.

Joshua Neale. Johnnie Walker “Morning” brought Joshua Neale of Smuggler London to our attention. His work spans incredible documentaries (screened at Tribeca, the Austin Film Festival, Hot Docs, and AFI), and branded work for Panasonic, Motorola and, of course, Johnnie Walker. If you want some of that incredible documentary sensibility paired with stunning visuals, you’re going to want to look at his reel right here.

This is just the start to a fantastic list of British directorial talent. We can’t wait to see what’s up next for these guys.
