ALL, THE MEXICO WE LOVE

Common Misconception: Walk the City, Why Don’t You?

You can loosen the grip on your purse just a little bit; you’re in Mexico City.

While often you can find the streets of Mexico heavily trafficked, you’d be hard pressed to find an international city more (enjoyably) walkable than our own.

Between Roma or Condesa or Polanco, you can find yourself roaming the streets, diving into a small club, sitting street side enjoying a cup of coffee, glancing over at any of the hundreds of gorgeous statues.

Look high, look low and there’s something to see. Take a walk through Chapultepec, a city park larger than New York City’s Central Park, and with just as many (if not more) sights to see. Or walk from part of the city to the next, down to the subway if you want to give your feet a rest, and see what this highly walkable city has to offer.

Pro tip: have your camera handy like we did on our last walk through the city (see gallery above). Or you might be lucky enough to have a domesticated pig follow you for a few blocks (see below). #MexicoHappens, no?
