Biscuit is back in Mexico, and in honor of a new collaboration with the team, we’re celebrating the work of director Clay Weiner.
With numerous fantastic campaigns, Super Bowl spots, television shows, and feature films to his credit, Clay Weiner has been making a name for himself since he started as an agency creative working for the likes of Publicis, BBH, and Wieden+Kennedy. He’s since gone on to direct commercials for the likes of MTV, PETA, Hotels.com, Bud Light, Hallmark, and Dollar Shave Club, to name just a few.
A recent favorite of ours from the many to choose from in Clay’s portolio is a 90-second spot for Netflix called “The List.” The spot captures a feeling every modern binge-watcher is familiar with – being struck by the awful indecision of what television show or movie to watch next. To quote AdWeek, “Clay Weiner’s wry, breathless direction drives home the silly spot’s punch line, which we didn’t see coming. Then again, we aren’t nearly as sharp as we used to be, probably because binge-watching so much TV has muddled our brains.”
