ALL, THE MEXICO WE LOVE

Location Guide: Markets of Mexico City

mercado1

If you’re traveling to Mexico City, or even if your local to CDMX, a trip through the mercados around town is an essential activity.

Our markets are always bustling with activity and overflowing in color. Artisans hand-craft materials right in front of you, or peddle wears that you can’t get anywhere else in the world. Grab some delicious local food, and wander throughout the dense halls lined with fine leather goods, peasant dresses, sombreros, and everything in between.

La Ciudadela is located close to city center, just south of the Paseo de la Reforma. It’s one such market, a semi-covered craft oasis with more than 200 stalls to cover your every shopping need. Visitors might enjoy the opportunity to buy local souvenirs, or to stock up on essentials.

Or perhaps you’ll venture over to Abelardo Rodríguez and marvel at a stunning Diego Rivera mural that lines the wall. Art and food sit side by side in a city that values both so much.
