ALL, THE MEXICO WE LOVE

Support Local, Eat Well

While it is impossible to determine when restaurant life will return as we once knew it, we can still safely enjoy the amazing food and talent that Mexico City has to offer. With options such as calling for take out or social distancing on restaurant terraces, it is easy and convenient to eat well and support our local industries.

We made a list of our go-to spots to encourage everyone living in or visiting Mexico City to continue patronizing local restaurants. Trust us, some of the city’s best dishes are just a phone call and a curbside pick up away.

Whether you live close enough to call in an order now or put these restaurants on your list for a future visit, check out our top recommendations below!

Contramar
You have to try the Atún tostadas, the pescado a la talla, or the octopus. For dessert the strawberry cake or fig tart will become your new favorites.

Campobaja
They have different Quesatacos (a beautiful hybrid between a quesadilla and a taco) that you can try, as well as a couple of tasty aguachile options, tostadas, or their oysters.

Rosetta
Their short rib, risotto, and gnocchi are certainly crowd pleasers. They are currently also serving breakfast and brunch which is spectacular. Try the sweet corn pancakes with chamomile honey or the plantain tamales with mole. And their guava rolls or lavender scones for the bakery are absolutely delicious.

Elly’s
Their breakfast biscuit is just the thing you need to start your morning and for lunch make sure you try their cozy Chicken pot pie, their PB&J cookies, Cannoli, or their famous Elly’s tomato tart.

Lardo
For the weekend you can get their whole Roast chicken, you can try their lasagnas (spinach or meat), as well as their lamb kebab. For dessert, the mil hojas de frutos rojos is a winner.

La Invicta
Carrot Cake or Pavlova are delicious but they also have cookies, blondies, and banana bread that they can tweak to your preference.
