The latest in AirBnb’s “Live There” campaign marks their most successful campaign to date, a collaboration with Disney Pixar’s feature Coco, Psyop, and our team here at The Lift.
In the magical 60 second spot shot in San Miguel de Allende, we travel around Mexico, to local markets and kitchens, streets and landscapes, to breathe life into the vivid animated scenes found in the new movie that hit theatres this past weekend. Coco follows a young boy named Miguel who travels to the glorious Land of the Dead to learn more about his incredible family history. Featuring the voices of Gael Garcia Bernal, Benjamin Bratt, and Edward James Olmos, the film has been touted as “among Pixar’s best movies in years” by The Atlantic.
The strategic partnership with AirBnb fits perfectly with the film, which explores various animated versions of Mexican destinations. Now in this spot, featuring the creative talents of the team at Psyop, you can see (and go to) the actual places that inspired the settings of the film. We were honored to work with both AirBnb and Psyop on this project, and consider them among the best and most heroic partners we’ve had the good fortune of collaborating with.
