We were thrilled to see our friends at SMUGGLER honored with a win in the category of Production Company of the Year, as well as a win in the Best Editing, Writing, and Production Design category for our collaboration on “Escape From the Office” for Apple, directed by Mark Molloy.
Proudly, we watched our friends at Lovesong Films promote new talent with their colleagues at IllimiteWorld who won silver in New Talent In Direction. Complemented by Ali Brown and Matthew Fone’s talk on how to support the talent of directors to reach their full potential – nurturing the next generation of talent and creativity was a center point of the festival. Additionally, the focus on sustainability came to the forefront during “The Low Carbon Future of Production” panel discussion. The hosts guided conversations on how the industry is adapting to the climate crisis – a topic we are passionate about at The Lift as we work towards being a Carbon Neutral company. Giving a platform to promote the importance of building an inventive and environmentally friendly future for our industry, the festival was a collection of bright thinkers and new ideas.
We also saw our friends at Biscuit Filmworks, MJZ, Epoch Films, and many others take home awards for their boundary-pushing work, and an insightful conversation with Spike Lee on his journey within the industry and how to empower the new generation. Thank you to everyone for an exceptional year, and congratulations to the following winners:
