Mister Whitmore is a director unlike any other.
To borrow a line (or two or three) from Citizens of Culture: “He is a social researcher, theorist, and storyteller. It is his interest in people that is at the forefront of his creative process. His desire for change that is the foundation for his larger goals. He is pushing LA towards its renaissance, the unveiling of a new brighter Los Angeles.”
Tomás was a quick study over at Loyola Marymount University where he obtained his film degree. There, he immersed himself in the new wave hip hop scene and started directing music videos for up-and-coming artists, who like himself, were changing molds within their genre. From there, he attracted the likes of Dillon Francis, DJ Snake, A-Trak, Tinashe, and Chance the Rapper, all of whom he has collaborated with over the past couple of years. As one who embraces filmmaking in all its forms, Tomás has also directed branded content for Beats by Dre and Nike.
