Last week countless creatives and industry friends took to Mexico City for one of our favorite events of the year: Ciclope Latino.

Ciclope Latino is the ultimate industry event—as a celebration of craft in advertising and moving image, Ciclope brings together inspired ideas and an endless rush of creative energy in one single place, making for an incredibly exciting and captivating time for all.

We were thrilled to be a sponsor of the event, and we had a complete blast visiting with collaborators and colleagues new and old. From the moment the day began we were in a whirlwind of activity. Fresh Market kicked off the event with a networking activity hosted by Hugo Tejero & Asociados that brought together agencies from Latin America and the US—creativity has no borders, and we loved chatting with everyone about projects, points of inspiration, and so much more.

To kick off the evening, director Rodrigo Saavedra spoke to the audience about the inherent power and value in originality as well as the perils that exist when it comes to growing stagnant with a directing style.

The producers and creatives that made up the jury, which was chaired by 72andSunny’s Kate Morrison and our very own Avelino Rodríguez, worked to hone in on the most well-crafted commercials and music videos in Latin America this past year, and every single winner truly proved that there is no limit when it comes to creativity. Baco Exu do Blues – Bluesman, directed by Douglas Bernardt and produced by Stink Films took home the top Grand Prix prize, while Landia won Production Company of the Year and Wieden+Kennedy São Paulo was named Agency of the Year.

We are already counting down the days for the next Ciclope. Until then, be sure to check out the recap film, below!
