We learned that our friends over at Framestore are in many ways leading the industry with dynamic 360 experiences for the likes of Interstellar, Volvo, Samsung, Merrell (see above) and beyond. If you’re looking for some good entertainment, be sure to watch their videos of people reacting while they have the headset on.

Take their latest for The Martian, which allowed viewers to wear the headset and put themselves into the astronaut protagonist’s shoes to try to find a way back to earth. The VR experience premiered at Sundance with a wide release slated at some point later this year, and we can’t wait to dive in.
There’s also Chris Milk and Aaron Koblin’s studio Vrse, whose work includes films for the New York Times Magazine, Vice, Toms, and Saturday Night Live. As visionaries in the film space, it’s clear that these guys are going to be pushing the VR envelope for years to come.
