There’s nothing greater than seeing a director we love working with get the recognition they deserve.

That’s why we’re so excited to see Alma Har’el join fellow Epoch Films director Martin de Thurah as a nominee for the Director’s Guild of America Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Commercials. Har’el was nominated for her spot she directed for P&G, entitled “Love Without Bias.”

Har’el’s first nomination also marks a shift in the representation of female directors in the industry, breaking through an awards category that has been dominated by male directors for several years. She’s been an important figure for female representation as the founder of Free the Bid, an organization that advocates on behalf of female directors for equal opportunities to bid for commercial jobs.
